Of course not.

I know I don't do many blogs -- I'm not really a blog type of person, but I decided to make a new one today. 2009 is still fairly young..and there's so much more time this year for learning and experience. I feel I've started my year off decently.

I started a short story titled "Documents of Grief" about two years ago on Halloween night. I got about half way through -- and came to a sudden realization. It wasn't anything new. It wasn't an advancement in my writing ability..so I ended up trashing it. I liked the idea of the story..but to me it was the same old thing I've always done before. It would have been great about 2 years ago, but now...no.

Anyhow..I ended up starting it over...completely from scratch. Based on a similar idea, though written as a new piece.

Now, this once short story has blossomed into a Novella, and is moving into novel status. I am REALLY proud of this writing, and once it's done -- whenever that may be, I hope to have it published (assuming it keeps going in a way I enjoy). Once it's in a decent enough state I'll post some chapters here, and I really hope someone will check them out.

Until then I'll just give a quick description. I'll say that "Documents of Grief" is a grim tale about isolation, fear, and discovery. Aside from that I don't want to say anymore until I release it out..but I really have to say, this IS my best long writing. It is also my scariest, by far. If you like horror, and can handle my writing style (it is different, in my opinion), you should like this!

So yeah, I'm really proud of this. I don't mean to gloat or anything..I'm just..happy.
